There are some ethical and moral considerations within reportage illustration that should be considered. It mainly has to do with the fact illustrators are a witness to what is happening, and it is a responsibility to be as accurate as possible. This is a key moral point when it comes to wanting to show a specific narrative or point, as what they draw needs to have accurate and some information to back it up in order it to be truthful. Most reportage illustrations will have a point of view especially being a part of what’s happening. They shouldn’t necessarily be unbiased and if reportage artists are they have a responsibility too and should consider how they do layouts and other graphic elements, mainly as it isn’t emotional communication unlike ones which have a point. Other than those points, the focus of reportage illustration is to produce accurately of what they see which includes different objects and people of different ethnic backgrounds.
